The chocolate egg hunt: a family tradition

The chocolate egg hunt on Easter Sunday is a wonderful time of fun and family bonding . It creates memories that remain etched for life and delights young and old alike .

The family spirit is also an essential value for Sigoji . The cocoa beans used to make these chocolate eggs are, in fact, grown in Cameroon, on the family plantation of Euphrasie Mbamba, founder of the chocolate factory.

Sigoji offers you 6 varieties of chocolate eggs , available in 100 g sachets:

Sigoji, a rebirth for Euphrasie Mbamba

Easter celebrates the resurrection of Christ in the Christian religion. It also marks the return of spring and symbolizes a form of rebirth .

This rebirth, Euphrasie Mbamba knew it when she decided to leave her job as a teacher to devote herself fully to her passion for chocolate . Since 2014, the year the chocolate factory was created, she has been living her dream to the delight of her customers!

The love of chocolate with respect for people and the environment

The artisanal chocolate factory, located in the Namur region, is one of the co-founders of the Club des Chocolatiers Engagés , an association that fights for fair remuneration for cocoa bean producers . Those that Sigoji uses are grown with respect for people and the environment.

Today, twelve people work on the family plantation. They lead a dignified life, with their families, in homes built for them . They are fed and receive a comfortable salary , allowing them in particular to provide security and education to their children.

The foundations of Sigoji are:

• An ancestral know-how ;
• The passion to transmit the richness of the African terroir .

Its goal is to arouse emotions through the tasting of its chocolates!
